As much as I enjoy painting, I enjoy looking at God's creation through an artist's eyes. Before I began to paint, trees were green and the sky was blue. Now I see a plethora of colors in almost everything. How exciting is that?! My dad was a professional artist, and my mom was an art hobbyist, so the arts have always been woven throughout my life. Now that our five children are grown, painting has become a priority. (Along with our fourteen grandchildren, of course!) I paint primarily in oils. I have been juried into several galleries in the state of Georgia, and am currently represented by the Bradley Street Gallery in Carrollton, Georgia. I am also exhibiting throughout this summer in the Callaway Gardens Discovery Center in Pine Mountain, Georgia. My affiliations are with the Newnan-Coweta Art Association, Newnan, Georgia, the Southern Rivers Art Guild in Pine Mountain, Georgia, and the Portrait Society of America. I have had a painting chosen to hang in the Capital Building in Atlanta. While my studio is graced with a lot of ribbons, what means most to me is the reward of patrons who are happy with my paintings.
